Abstract
ABSTRACT Researcher : SITI RUHAEMA Reg Number : 10256119021 Title : THE INFLUENCE OF TEACHER-STUDENT INTERACTION AND LEARNING INTEREST ON LEARNING OUTCOMES IN ENGLISH SUBJECT AT SMKN 1 MAJENE This study aims to evaluate the influence of teacher-student interaction and learning interest on English learning outcomes at SMK Negeri 1 Majene. The research employed a quantitative method with a correlational design, and data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire and documentation. Multiple linear regression analysis showed an F-value of 3.216 with a significance level of 0.046. This value is greater than the critical F-value (3.216 > 3.13) and the significance level is less than 0.05 (0.046 < 0.05), which means the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected. This indicates that teacher- student interaction and learning interest significantly affect learning outcomes. The coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.088 indicates that 8.8% of the variability in learning outcomes can be explained by teacher-student interaction and learning interest, while 91.2% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study. The study concludes that although teacher-student interaction and learning interest affect learning outcomes, their influence is limited and largely affected by other factors.
