Abstract
Researcher : Husnul Aliyah Reg Number : 10256121013 Title : The Effectiveness of Baamboozle Media on English Learning Interest at Eleventh Grade Students of SMK Negeri 5 Majene This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of Baamboozle learning media in improving students’ interest in learning English at the eleventh grade of SMK Negeri 5 Majene. This research employed a quantitative approach using a pre-experimental method with a One Group Pretest–Posttest Design. The sample consisted of 24 students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a learning interest questionnaire consisting of 19 Likert-scale statements. The data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics, including the Shapiro–Wilk normality test and the Paired Sample T-test. The results indicated that students’ interest in learning English improved after the implementation of Baamboozle learning media. The normality test showed that the data were normally distributed with significance values of 0.149 and 0.168 (> 0.05). Furthermore, the Paired Sample T-test revealed a significance value of 0.001 (< 0.05), indicating a statistically significant difference between the pretest and posttest results. Therefore, Baamboozle learning media was proven to be effective in enhancing students’ interest in learning English. Keywords: Baamboozle, learning media, students’ interest, English learning.
